The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ is a fantastic iPad alternative, and it's a bit cheaper today.
SamsungMarch isn’t usually known for having an abundance of tech sales, but Samsung is rewriting the rules; we’re currently in the middle of the brand’s week-long sales event which it has dubbed the Samsung Discover Spring Event. Each day there’s a new spotlighted deal of the day. Earlier in the week we saw bargains on the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Watch 3 and more, but today Samsung has slashed the price of the Galaxy Tab S7+ in Mystic Silver by 50%, or a pre-tax total of $425, and you can push that discount up significantly by trading in another mobile device toward it. If you’re not feeling that color, you can still save up to $180 on all other models.
That’s not all. In addition to the premium Android tablet, Samsung is offering 10% off all purchases in three categories: home appliances (which includes refrigerators, washers and dryers, vacuums, microwaves and air purifiers, to name a few), mobile devices (phones—including other Samsung phone deals, earbuds, smartwatches) and computer monitors.
Speaking of appliances, Samsung is throwing in free installation on select home appliances and entertainment products during the sale, as well as free haul-away and disposal on all home appliances.
There’s one other reason to check out the sale, and it helps if you’re feeling lucky—every purchase awards an entry in Samsung’s contest that includes prizes up to $5,000. To enter, make a purchase at Samsung anytime between March 22 and March 28, and you’ll be automatically entered into the drawing, which commences April 8. First place is $5,000, but there will also be three second place winners earning $3,000 each and a half-dozen $1,000 third-place winners.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+
Samsung's flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S7+, is perhaps the best Android tablet that's ever been made (until next year's models, of course). It's running Android 10 with Samsung's custom One UI interface, powered by a beefy Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ chipset and a gorgeous 12.4-inch AMOLED display. Today only, as a part of Samsung's Spring Sale Event, the Mystic Silver version of the S7+ is half price. That should take a lot of the sting out of purchasing this iteration of the Tab, which is admittedly a little on the expensive side.
Price aside, the Galaxy Tab S7+ has a lot to offer. Aesthetically, its solid build and clean lines mark it as a premium tablet in the same class as, say, Apple's iPad Pro. It's a lightweight 1.3 pounds and measures 11.25 by 7.3 inches, and is a scant 0.2 inches thick. The screen is tack sharp—it's 2,800-by-1,752-pixels, it has great color reproduction and true blacks thanks to the AMOLED display, and its 120Hz refresh rate gives you smoother visuals no matter what you use the tablet for.
And this S7+ can do double duty as a laptop replacement. The battery is able to muster over seven hours of runtime, which is essentially a full work day. You get Wi-Fi 6 and its enhanced wireless speeds, a bundled S Pen for stylus input and surprisingly powerful speakers. The only thing you don't get is the optional keyboard—a disappointing miss for a tablet that seems to want to also be your laptop—but you can get the keyboard with a little of your savings. That’s only as long as you get the Tab S7+ today, of course, because tomorrow will bring a brand new deal of the day.
