Samsung is reportedly working on a direct sequel to the Galaxy Chromebook. Details are lacking at present but this is the first time we’re hearing about a direct sequel, and apparently it’s already in development under the Galaxy Chromebook 2 moniker.More specs and even renders should be (unofficially) surfacing soon, reveals @evleaks via Voice – the source behind this bit of news. But as far as specifications go, we could speculate that Samsung will try to fix whatever was setting back the original Galaxy Chromebook.Should we expect more RAM and improved battery life?Samsung’s first Galaxy-branded Chromebook is very impressive at first glance and on paper. The build quality is excellent and it is the world’s first Chromebook to feature a 4K AMOLED display. But the biggest problem surrounding this product was poor battery life. On the bright side, Samsung is aware of this shortcoming and we can assume that the company will at least attempt to address it with the Galaxy Chromebook 2.Bits of evidence that have surfaced previously were also hinting that Samsung may be developing a Galaxy Chromebook variant with 16GB of RAM. This hasn’t come to pass yet and it may never will, but this could be an indication that a 16GB variant might be offered by the Galaxy Chromebook 2 once it goes on sale. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we find out more. The Link Lonk
