One of the cool thing about Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is the fact it lets you stream games from Microsoft's servers to any connected Android device. The service may come to iOS and other devices in the future, but for now, it's firmly the realm of Android phones and tablets.
The downside about Xbox Game Pass Ultimate streaming is that many games simply aren't designed for devices with screens as small as a phone. The Android tablet market isn't terribly exciting, but at least Samsung has stepped up to provide some decent options. This Black Friday deal on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is one of the best we've seen for Xbox game streaming, thanks to its gorgeous 10-inch display and decent battery life.
This is Samsung's 2020 "affordable" tablet option, joining the S7 tablet lineup as an entry-point for new tablet owners. This doesn't have the fancy S-Pen for drawing and note-taking, but it does everything that a tablet needs to do, with an impressive HD+ display, Dolby Atmos-powered quad-speaker array (great for gaming), 3GB of RAM, and decent Exynos 9611 processing. For practically any sort of light tablet use, whether it's media apps, gaming, Kindle reading, or more, this tablet quite easily fits the bill.
If you're planning to get one for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Project xCloud game streaming like I did when I grabbed last year's Galaxy Tab S6, this is an ideal solution. The HD+ display will future-proof it against Microsoft's pending updates to xCloud streaming (which is currently maxed at 720p).
It supports the latest versions of Android needed for Xbox cloud streaming, alongside Bluetooth for the controller. Although, more and more games now support touch as well. This tablet will easily make our roundup of best tablets for Xbox Game Pass cloud streaming in its next update, but at this price point, it's a total steal this Black Friday.
